Appraisals
LJMU is committed to providing all members of staff with the opportunity to engage in regular conversations about their performance and development. The annual appraisal allows time for individuals to reflect on their strengths and areas for improvement, to consider appropriate goals, identify opportunities for training and development, and to focus on furthering their careers. The appraisal also provides a space for staff to explore how their role relates and responds to the University’s strategic plans and any departmental goals and objectives.
In order to enable staff to take ownership of their objectives and development, LJMU has introduced the Actus platform. Actus is a simple, intuitive and secure online platform that will help staff to easily coordinate their appraisals by recording and updating progress on objectives, your development activities, the annual appraisal and related catch ups.
Access the Actus platform
There is training available on how to use Actus. View currently available dates and book online.
A number of step by step guides for using Actus are available to download. These can be accessed from within Actus by clicking on the ‘Help’ icon at the top right of the screen and selecting ‘Resources’.
