200 years of LJMU

In July 1823 an institution was founded which became the catalyst for an educational revolution in the city of Liverpool.

Fast forward 200 years to 2023, when we celebrated our 200th anniversary by celebrating our people, our students, our staff and our partners and community, by telling their stories on these webpages.

From high profile Roscoe lectures and international academic conferences to campus-wide exhibitions, student projects and bespoke Bicentenary films; 2023 was a year showcasing the best of LJMU alongside the launch of our new Strategic Plan.
