Louise is a Lecturer in Modern British History. She is a social historian of modern British history with particular interests in feminism, Anglo-Irish relations, and the intellectual influences on early twentieth century political activism. Her research explores the connections between the Suffragette Movement in Britain and Irish nationalism from Fenianism to Home Rule. Her PhD focused on Ireland's influence on Emmeline Pankhurst, one of the leaders of the Women's Social and Political Union, on her journey to being a militant suffragette.
