My name is James Kennedy. I am currently studying on the Doctor of Education (EdD) programme at LJMU on the Doctor of Education programme at LJMU.
I am a primary school teacher in Liverpool, where my roles include being Assessment Lead, Mathematics Coordinator, Early Career Teacher Mentor, Trainee Teacher Mentor and Pupil Premium Lead.
My research interests are based around educational psychology and, more specifically, how children respond in moments of crisis. My thesis is focussed on the concept of Academic Buoyancy (how pupils respond to daily setbacks that all pupils are likely to encounter), as opposed to Academic Resilience (what pupils call upon when responding to more severe setbacks).
