I am an experienced academic leader with specific interest in innovative curricula development and professional programme approval. Energetic with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, analytical thinking, creativity and production of high-quality documentation and reports have been identified as my main strengths. I am an NMC registrant, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an experienced Higher Education External Examiner.
In 2020 and 202I I led the successful revalidation and Nursing Midwifery Council approval of the Pre-registration Nursing, Nursing Associate and Midwifery portfolio at Edge Hill University; consisting of 26 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This process encompassed the introduction of non-modular curricula in Nursing and Midwifery and a conceptual approach to programme delivery.
In 2023 led a peer review of the BSc Pre-registration Nursing Programme at Liverpool John Moores University and supported the academic staff in the approval of major modifications to Nursing and Nursing Associate programmes in addition to the approval of new provision.. Presented with a Pro-vice Chancellors award in recognition of the work carried out by the panel. More recently I have facilitated a peer-review of the BSc (Hons) Nursing programme at Liverpool John Moores University.
