School of Psychology courses

Study at LJMU for a British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited undergraduate degree. You’ll cover a wide range of topics, including health, neuroscience, forensic psychology, counselling, psychological wellbeing and positive psychology.  

Our courses combine theory with practical application, so you can see how psychology works in everyday life. 

In your first year, you’ll build a solid grounding in psychological science. You’ll also develop research, analytical and critical thinking skills. As you move through your degree, you can choose modules that reflect your interests. 

There are opportunities to gain experience through volunteering and other practical activities. These are designed to help you build skills and prepare for work after graduation. 

We also offer combined Psychology courses with other schools in the Faculty of Society and Culture. These let you study psychology alongside another subject area.
