Dr Xinrui Wang is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Civil Engineering and Built Environment, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). She received her PhD degree and Bachelor's degrees both from University of Liverpool. Before joining LJMU, she worked as a research fellow in Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at University of Surrey.
Dr Wang’s research focuses on urban sustainability and resilience, especially in structure health monitoring and structure control. She is experienced in full-scale vibration testing and data analysis in laboratory or field settings. Examples of participating projects include the Jubilee footbridge in Singapore, Greystone footbridge in Knowles, Brodie Tower building on Liverpool University campus, and some commercial buildings in London. Her research interests include: Structural Health Monitoring/ Bayesian Operational Modal Analysis/ Tuned Mass Damper/ Full-scale vibration test/ Indirect Structural Health Monitoring.
Dr Wang can offer supervision for PhD Engineering candidates. There are potential funded PhD opportunities available for highly motivated PhD students. For interested candidates, please feel free to contact her for more details.
