SDG 2 - Zero hunger
Hunger continues to be a leading cause of death in the world. However, promoting sustainable approaches to resource and land management, supporting fair distribution systems and developing innovative technologies can all help to sustain the world’s growing population.
We’re tackling hunger through a range of community initiatives spanning on and off campus at LJMU. We’re driving high-tech and sustainable food production through our work with Farm Urban and giving back to the community through contributions to the Fans Supporting Foodbanks initiative. In Southeast Asia, we are working to develop nature-based solutions to promote food security hunger.
