General Engineering Research Institute (GERI)

GERI conducts world-leading research across a diverse range of engineering fields.

Since its formation in 2002, GERI has produced a huge breadth of innovative and high-impact engineering research. Recently, the Institute benefited from a £1.6 million investment, which has been used to enhance GERI’s buildings. Specialised equipment has also been bought.

GERI’s major groups, which have individual histories reaching back to the 1970s, conduct research into: optical metrology, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and laser processing.
