Mastering Maritime Energy Efficiency (MMEE)

Monday 29 June to Friday 3 July 2026, Liverpool

This five-day event is designed for a wide range of professionals and stakeholders across the maritime industry who are directly or indirectly responsible for energy performance, compliance, and sustainability. Structured around practical and forward-looking themes, the program emphasizes both technical and strategic approaches to energy management in a rapidly evolving regulatory and operational environment.

Participants will explore energy management principles, learning strategies and best practices that strengthen organisational capabilities and reduce inefficiencies across the shipping value chain. The event provides an in-depth understanding of alternative fuels and their management, highlighting pathways to decarbonisation and the integration of sustainable fuels into maritime operations.

Through applied sessions on energy monitoring and reporting, participants will gain insights into data-driven approaches for improving transparency and compliance with international regulations. The event also integrates cost-benefit analysis (CBA) for energy efficiency, equipping attendees with the skills to evaluate financial and operational impacts of energy initiatives. Finally, the role of Port Digital Twins in energy efficiency is explored, offering a cutting-edge perspective on how digital technologies drive sustainable transformation.

The program will also include a summative task based on Energy Efficiency Plan, allowing participants to apply their learning in a structured, practice-oriented exercise. The potential audience includes:

  • shipowners and operators
  • senior managers and directors
  • marine and technical superintendents
  • fleet managers and vessel performance analysts
