With a growing external profile, our Education and Early Childhood Studies programmes provide an excellent student experience enhanced by a flourishing culture of research and consultancy.

This subject area has a reputation for curriculum innovation, with a number of successful curriculum enhancement bids, fantastic student internships and exceptional teaching, having received teaching excellence awards in recent years.

Students across our undergraduate programmes can make use of our first-class facilities, including our Education Building, opened in 2021, and the Outdoor Learning Zone, a short walk from the Education Building and a hub for our Natural Curriculum outdoor learning projects.
